# Framework.

Through a work intensive-process that's completely free of AI use, Indigos start on Automation as bottom-up designs as were originally envisioned by Alex back in 2020, then made into NFTs on Base, an Ethereum layer-2. They will be manufactured for a limited time. After every Indigo is built, manufacturing will cease for good, and the Indigos that are in existence at that point will be the only ones. Less than 75 will be built, ever. And because vehicles' values are never constant in the offchain world, all Indigos will be auctioned at first point of sale rather than sold at a fixed price.

Indigo will also provide a copy of their car's info sheet in the form of a QR code NFT, detailing the mechanical features, track testing data, and more info about the vehicle. These sheets will be signed by our founder before being minted onchain and airdropped to the first owner of each Indigo.

In order to fulfill these objectives, Indigo Motors uses two collections, each with its own smart contract: $IDGO handles the vehicles themselves, and $IMIC contains the info codes. Both have the same deployer address, which is registered on OpenSea as "idgodeployer."
